Branham's mantra "Learn to Achieve" came as a result of discussions about updating the school mission statement during the 2009-2010 WASC process. Faculty and staff wanted a statement that was more relevant and meaningful than a conventional mission statement, something that was authentic and would actually be referred to. After a few brainstorming sessions and discussions that revolved around words that were supported by many, the school selected a mantra that came not from a staff member, but from Brittney, a graduating student. She wrote a brief essay that explained what "Learn to Achieve" meant to her. It was an eloquent, heartfelt message that wonderfully put into words what her education at Branham meant to her. She learned much at Branham, particularly that she now had the tools and attitude to continue learning.
