Foothill School was built in 1966 on 9.6 acres of sloping meadows studded with oak trees. The original construction included the administration/library building, the kindergarten building (two classrooms), the grades 1 & 2 primary building (six classrooms), and the intermediate building providing six classrooms for grades 3, 4, 5. The last permanent building to be built was the multipurpose room, which was built in 1986. There are 9 portables on campus. The multipurpose building also houses the cafeteria used to prepare the hot lunches, and small classrooms, which house the speech specialist and the psychologist. At this time Foothill School has a projected enrollment of about 510. In an ever-changing community, Foothill Elementary School has a vision that ensures a safe, nurturing and flexible environment in which each student can attain academic and social success through the collaboration and commitment of our students, teachers, parents and community.
