In March of 1946, Jacktown, Midway, and Mountainside School Districts merged with Groner...and the Kinton District followed two years later. Groundbreaking ceremonies for the new Groner Elementary were held on August 20, 1948, on land donated by Ferd Groner. Over the years families have come and gone. However, if you visit Groner Elementary School, you will be sure to find many students who have parents...and grandparents...that attended Groner in years past.
