GMSS opened its doors to learning in 1992. It became the third middle school constructed in the Gahanna-Jefferson School District. GMSS sits on 28 acres that also contain the district's high school soccer fields.
The mission of Gahanna Middle School South is to cultivate an environment that provides opportunities, which challenge and inspire students to become knowledgeable, responsible, respectful, and caring citizens who value life-long learning.
