Hellyer's School vision is "To prepare all students to successfully continue their education." The school-wide theme is, "We will go to College!" We believe that the foundation for college begins at the elementary level. Expectations for students and staff are high and teachers focus on the Common Core Standards.

A wide variety of programs and services are available for students and parents at Hellyer School. Services and programs are available for English Learners as well as GATE students. Services for these students include, but are not limited to, differentiated instruction in small groups and as individuals, differentiated materials, direct and indirect services from certificated support staff, and extended day interventions. Hellyer teachers participate in ongoing training to meet the needs of second language learners. They have learned the most effective research-based strategies and practices to provide instruction for students who are English Learners or who struggle academically.
