Since 2006, Los Medanos Elementary has been leading the district with a score of over 800. In the fall of 2006, we reached the state expectation for 2013 of 800 by achieving an academic performance index (API) of 807. We have not looked back. There's no magic that has produced the gains to where we stand now at an API of 875; but it has been the collaborative efforts and high expectations of our dedicated TEAM (Together Everyone Achieves Much). The change agents, my teachers, of LME are dedicated to the mission of our school - helping all students to achieve proficient or advanced status in reading and math. Our school's theme is Los Medanos "Where We Expect the Best" and that truly is the goal for each of our students. Our achievements show that "No Standards are Left Behind".

Los Medanos Elementary will provide an instructional program designed to meet academic, social, emotional and multicultural needs in a safe and caring environment. All the students are provided with a standards-based, challenging, curriculum that not only teaches a variety of skills, but allows students to apply these skills through problem-solving and application opportunities.
