McPherson uses school-wide positive behavior strategies to maintain a safe and respectful environment where children achieve learning. At McPherson all students will master grade level standards in a learning environment that supports inquiry and collaboration for teachers and students as they make meaning of knowledge. Teachers will be active members in Professional Learning Communities that focus on learning. All students will have the skills and motivation to have the most opportunities afforded to them. We encourage our parents to volunteer in our school and welcome parent input on school-wide decisions through our parent organizations. McPherson offers has a Family Resource Center located on site that provides family resources, parent classes through Napa Valley Parent University, and coordinates parent volunteering. Our parents can also participate in leadership roles through our School Site Council, ELAC/DLAC representative, Title I Representative, Superintendents Advisory Representative and Parent Teacher Organization.
