St. Charles Parish Public Schools, nestled along the banks of the Mississippi River in southeast Louisiana, has been at the forefront of education and a leader among public schools in Louisiana since the mid 1970’s. Led by Superintendent Felecia Gomez-Walker and eight board members, the school system is home to more than 9,800 students and 1,700 employees. Fifteen schools, six centers and 7 sites serve the community of St. Charles Parish with classes ranging from pre-kindergarten through 12th grade, early head start and head start, adult education, and community education. This close knit community takes pride in its Triple “A” school system focused on academics, athletics and the arts, and its rich history, which is evident through its commitment with 94 percent of students in the area attending St. Charles Parish Public Schools. Our students and staff have been honored with numerous awards on the local, state and national level, and the district is ranked among the top in the state. We are committed to “Learning for Life.”
