Terrell Elementary, a California Distinguished School, is recognized for its innovative professional development model and its commitment to continuous improvement. Both have resulted in annual student achievement gains on California’s Standardized Testing Program (STAR). Our educational program includes a strong foundation in the basics, with differentiated instruction and use of literature across the curriculum to create powerful, concept-building learning experiences. Terrell offers a strong technology component that includes a fully networked computer lab, Accelerated Reader and Accelerated Math. Students also receive several art lessons through a nonprofit organization called Art Angels.
