Willis Junior High School has a proud history of preparing students for academic and social success in high school and beyond. At Willis, we pride ourselves in providing students with diverse learning experiences that address their academic, social and emotional needs. Willis has been recognized as a Verizon Innovative Learning School, and we are proud to provide purposeful integration of technology on a regular basis. We encourage all of our students to be active participants in their learning experience and we offer a wide variety of student-led clubs, athletics, and social activities to assist them in their efforts to build connections within our school community.
Our rich academic tradition includes such accolades as state championships in Knowledge Bowl, Arizona Science and Engineering Fair Championships, National History Day competition winners, and state championships in VEX Robotics. A nationally recognized music program provides students with opportunities to enhance their artistic abilities through, band, choir and orchestra. Our Jazz Band has been internationally recognized for their efforts. In addition, Willis has a diverse elective offering and competes in the East Valley Conference -- offering thirteen different sports over four quarters.

At Willis, we have a pathway to success for every student. Members of our teaching staff are enthusiastic supporters of kids and make every effort to design lessons and activities that will engage and challenge students.
